The US Fish and Wildlife Service has published draft approval of the Hays County Habitat Conservation Plan, with permit issuance anticipated soon. With an HCP in place, development activities in the county may proceed by participating in the HCP, without the need for individual permits. Zara Environmental is a member of the consultant team that has been working since 2006 to develop the county’s plan which will remain in effect for 30 years. The HCP will help protect endangered species habitat while streamlining development projects int he county.  For more info on the plan visit www.hayscountyhcp.com.
