Nature Preserve Management

Picture
Using GIS analysis tools and an in-depth understanding of the primary constituent elements of an ecosystem, Zara staff design karst preserves. This includes surveying the extent of karst features, the location of karst invertebrate habitat, the cricket foraging area, and the surface and subsurface drainage basins of a karst feature. Karst preserves may be used for mitigation, participation in a Habitat Conservation Plan, or take avoidance. Management includes gate construction and maintenance, invasive species control (e.g. fire ants), and long-term species monitoring. Zara also prepares and submits reports to regulators on our clients behalf.
