NEPA/ESA Studies & Documentation
The federal permitting and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) is complicated and can take substantial time to complete. Major projects such as pipelines, electrical transmission lines, railroads and other projects receiving federal funding must typically undergo an environmental review process required by NEPA. Zara assists clients with compliance with complex regulatory requirements, obtaining environmental permits, negotiating with regulators, and conducting studies to quantify potential impacts of proposed projects. Through our experience we have built strong relationships with regulatory agencies and their staff, which facilitates a positive outcome for our clients. Zara has extensive experience guiding clients through the NEPA process and preparing documents including Categorical Exclusions, Environmental Assessments, and Environmental Impact Statements. Zara is highly experienced with Section 7 consultations with U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service under the Endangered Species Act (ESA). We can help you evaluate permitting requirements, prepare permit applications, conduct studies required by regulators, facilitate negotiations with regulators, and help conduct public meetings.
