Texas Parks and Wildlife Compliance
Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) code protects species that are threatened with extinction in Texas. Any project that may adversely impact a state-listed species should be evaluated to determine if take of a state-listed species is likely to occur. By law, take of a state-listed species may not occurs. Often state-listed species can be relocated out of a project area so that the project can proceed. Relocation of state-listed species must be overseen by a person holding a TPWD Scientific Collecting Permit, and additional relocation permitting and coordination are required. Zara has successfully relocated many species from project areas and received TPWD project clearance for variety of project types across Texas.
